Understanding Direct Radiography (DR)

How does it work?

Simply put, the detector panel captures the x-ray image and directly transmits it to the control console through cable or Wi-Fi. No need for a separate, bulky processing unit.

Is Direct radiography (DR) for me?

DR is perfect for all veterinary x-ray imaging, due to a wide range of available systems, the DR is suitable for small animal, equine and mixed practices.

How do I choose what type of DR system I need?

Type 1: DR Only Panel Systems - Upgrade your existing small animal X-ray System

• The EXAMION® DR detector systems are the cheapest route to Direct radiography due to their compatibility with your existing conventional x-ray generator equipment.

• Panel fits precisely into your existing bucky x-ray system and transmits the x-ray images directly to the integrated PC console

• No changes are made to your existing generator or bucky – meaning you do not need to replace your wall stand, x-ray table and grids or make any other radical changes to your usual procedures.
